I love primary care because I love getting to know you, your story, and your family. This helps me understand your values and concerns, so we can work together to better your health. That patient-doctor relationship is the foundation of excellent primary care, and building it requires time and attention.

Time is lacking in traditional, insurance-based, fee-for-service primary care. The math tells the story - most primary care doctors care for well over 2500 patients. You are quite literally a number.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) exists outside that system. It’s a membership model, which allows me to see less patients and thus have more time with each member. Things are fast when they should be - response times, getting you in for appointments, discussing results. And slow when they should be - extended appointment times, time to read about you, think about you, and collaborate with specialists regarding your care. If things become complex, I put the puzzle pieces together; I am the physician who knows you best, so I see the big picture.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is straightforward. This is not concierge medicine; I do not charge you an annual retainer AND bill your insurance. You simply pay a monthly membership fee, and I save you time and hassle. Together we trade volume for value.
